We have added a backpack for our Favorite Things - Remembering Pets Collection to assist those who want to build their own kits.  The front pocket houses both the DVD and Photo/Activity cards, but also had a large main pocket to add complimenting items such as books, puzzles, figures, tactile objects or other items.  There are also two smaller zipper pockets, one on each side.  It will also ease in the shelving of the kit in libraries or on your book shelves.  The backpack is the perfect addition to the kit when it will be checked out by patrons or travel between facilities.

Favorite Things Remembering Pets DVD - The Remembering Pets collection reminds us of animals both big and small that are looking for homes.  As we reminisce about pets we have had in our lives we recall the impact they had on ourselves and our families.

For this collection we virtually visited a Goat and Rescue farm during the COVID-19 pandemic and created a compilation of that tour so that others could learn and enjoy the work done at animal rescue farms.  We also visited our local humane society and shared their work and the pets current and past that need needed homes.  Our final video is a slideshow of family pets.  We share not just the pictures but a bit about each pet as well.

We hope that you enjoy these videos and give a heartfelt thanks to those who rescue animals, love and care for them unconditionally, and find them forever homes.

Photo & Activity Cards

Favorite Things Companion Photo Cards - Remembering Pets Collection accompanies the DVD and can be used independently from the DVD. The set includes photo cards that include presidential and famous pets along with pets from the goat rescue farm.  The family pet cards included in this set include captions with information about the pet.  We do not have separate activity cards for this set as it is intended to reminisce your own pets and open conversations about them with others. The cares serve as great conversation starters!   The cards are of high quality stock and laminated for extra protection. The extra large cards measure 5 x 7" each with rounded corners. The deck includes an instruction card and is housed in a plastic snap case.
