BiFolkal Remembering the 1950s Basic Kit
Are you new to BiFolkal Kits? Don’t worry—almost everything you need is in the kit bag. And everything you need to know about what’s in the kit is in the included program manual.
The manual is designed for programmers in a variety of situations. You may be a
librarian, an activity director for a nursing home, a social director for a retirement community, the program chair for a church or community group, a teacher or a Scout leader. This may be your first program, or you may have been doing programs for years.
Part One offers general information about the kit and where and how you might use it. Part Two gets specific about the kit pieces. Part Three will get you thinking about how you can program inter-generationally on this kit topic. Spend some time with the manual—it can be a big help to you. Don't forget that the program manual is also included in the printable media kit. This makes it easy to print just the pages you need, when you need them.
One of your opportunities with this kit—even more than any other—is to look at it as the supplies you need for not just one, but a whole series of programs. Don’t try to use all the pieces in one day. Mix and match the kit pieces with the additional ideas in Part Two and give people plenty of time to become involved in thinking about, remembering and sharing the many aspects of the fifties decade. Enjoy your programs.
