We have added a backpack for our Summer Collection to assist those who want to build their own kits. The front pocket houses both the DVD and Photo/Activity cards, but also had a large main pocket to add complimenting items such as books, puzzles, figures, tactile objects or other items. There are also two smaller zipper pockets, one on each side. It will also ease in the shelving of the kit in libraries or on your book shelves. The backpack is the perfect addition to the kit when it will be checked out by patrons or travel between facilities.

Favorite Things - Summer Collection DVD
Favorite Things is a series of DVDs created for the enjoyment of those with dementia, their caregivers and family in order to provide comfort and inspire connections and conversation through reminiscence.
Through reminiscence we find comfort in our favorite things and form connections with people and the past. Use the simple graphic menus on your DVD player or can be played on a computer using its DVD player. If used on a touch screen capable computer the menu buttons are responsive to touch. The Summer Photo Cards can be used independently or as a compliment to the Favorite Things Summer Collection DVD with the same four categories: 1. A Day at the Beach 2. Boats 3. Classic Cars 4. Fishing The set includes 32 double sided photo cards and 8 companion activity cards for a total of 16 reminiscence activities.
The companion photo cards provide cues for caregivers so that they can preface a photo card or video within our Favorite Things series with questions, or plan where to stop within a slide show or photo cards for an activity, share trivia/fun facts or participate in a game. The cards are high quality, laminated, water resistant card measuring (5 x 7") each and are housed in a label coordinated plastic snap case.
